# Darkmoor Escape Rooms

> Sixty minutes. One locked door. A story written long before you arrived — and ending only when you find the way out.

Darkmoor is not a game. It is a collection of nights that should not have been told — pulled from forgotten parish records, sealed police files, and the diaries of people who never woke up the same.

We rebuild those nights. Brick by brick. Candle by candle. And we hand you the key.

## Choose Where You Vanish

Every room at Darkmoor is built from the bones of a story. Step in, and the story begins to feed.

### Evil Dead

_We read from the book. We shouldn't have._

An isolated cabin. A reel-to-reel tape recorder mid-incantation. The Necronomicon Ex-Mortis lies open on the table, its passages bleeding through the floorboards. Reverse the summoning before the woods come inside.

The cabin was empty when you arrived. The tape recorder was not. A voice none of you recognises is halfway through a passage it should never have read aloud, and the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis lies open where the last group left it.
This is the loudest room at Darkmoor. Something works at the cellar door while you work the summoning, and the reversal has to be completed in the right order or not at all. Bring nerve, and a group that can keep talking under pressure.

### Insidious

_It's not the house that is haunted._

A child sleeps and will not wake. Somewhere beyond the candlelit bedroom lies The Further — and something there has been waiting a very long time. Pull him back from the dark, or be pulled in beside him.

The boy has not woken in nine days. His room is exactly as his mother left it — candles lit, curtains drawn, a chair pulled up beside a bed nobody has slept in. Whatever has him is not in this house.
The Further opens somewhere past the bedroom wall, and finding the way through is the puzzle. Expect light, sound and misdirection rather than padlocks. The room hides things in plain sight and waits for someone to look twice.

### The Conjuring

**Temporarily closed for maintenance — this room cannot be booked right now. It opens again soon; no date is set.**

_The artifacts in this room are not asleep._

A locked room in the Warrens' occult museum has been opened for the night. A porcelain doll sits behind cracked glass. A music box plays without being wound. Find the relic that does not belong — before it finds you.

The Warrens sealed this wing for a reason. Behind cracked glass sits a porcelain doll that three separate families begged them to take away, and beside it a music box whose key went missing decades ago. Tonight the cases are unlocked and the museum is yours.
Expect close work. Combinations hidden in case labels, a ledger that contradicts itself, and one relic among dozens that answers when you speak to it. This room rewards the group that reads carefully and argues quietly.

## How A Night At Darkmoor Unfolds

- **I. The Summons** — You arrive at the gate. The host marks your name in the ledger. The story you've been invited into is whispered, and the door is unlocked — for the last time.
- **II. The Hour** — Sixty minutes. No phones. No exit. Solve what was left behind by those who came before — every cipher, every relic, every wrong turn lit only by candle and dread.
- **III. The Reckoning** — You step back into the light. The bell tolls or the silence holds. Either way, your portrait will hang on the wall — among the survivors, or among the lost.

## Questions You May Have

### What makes Darkmoor different from other escape rooms in Cairo?

Every room here is built from one specific story rather than a generic theme — The Conjuring, Evil Dead and Insidious, each rebuilt in Dokki as a full set. There are no actors chasing you and no cheap jump scares. The fear comes from the production design, and the puzzles belong to the story instead of being padlocks bolted onto it.

### How frightening is it, really?

Atmospheric, not violent. We don't grab you, and there are no jump-scare actors lunging at the players. The dread is in the design — light, sound, story, and the slow understanding of what room you're really in.

### How many players can join one room?

Each room holds 4 to 15 players. Smaller groups can still book a private session at the standard minimum of four. Larger parties should reach out — we'll find a way to fit you in.

### How much does a session cost?

250 EGP per person. The price covers the full 60-minute session, your host, and the story — payable upon arrival. We accept cash and card.

### Is there an age limit?

The rooms are built for players 14 and over, and anyone aged 14 or 15 should come with an adult. Below that the themes and the atmosphere are not designed for them — if you are unsure about someone in your group, message us and we will tell you honestly.

### What if we don't escape in time?

You won't be left to rot. The door opens at the hour mark, hints and all. Your portrait, however, will be added to the wall of the lost — and we'll buy the first round of debriefs.

### Can I cancel or reschedule?

Any time, at no cost. Message us on WhatsApp and we will move you or let the slot go. Nothing is paid before you arrive, so there is no fee either way — the only thing we ask is that you tell us as early as you can, so another group can take the hour.

### Is there anything I should bring?

Nothing but nerve. Lockers are provided for phones and belongings — and yes, phones must stay locked away. The story doesn't pause for notifications.
